Provincial Entrepreneur Programs
Individuals with entrepreneurial experience as a business owner or business manager may be eligible to apply under one of many Provincial Entrepreneurial Programs. These are administered by the individual provinces and territories of Canada and follow a multi-step process to permanent residence. In general, applicants must register their preliminary business plans or business concept. When the province is interested in your concept you may receive an invitation to apply for a nomination. After your plan is evaluated and assessed you will then sign a business performance agreement with the province and territory. The next step is that you apply for a work permit and start executing your business plan. If you fulfill all the requirements within the given time you will receive a nomination from the province or territory with which you can apply for Permanent Residency.
